COVID Q&A
COVID 19 has changed our lives and how we do things. I, too, have had to make some changes. Some of these changes will seem like an inconvenience to you and me, but they are necessary. I've put together a Q&A to explain some of these changes. If you have questions that have not been answered, please feel free to contact me.
Q: Why do I have to wear a mask to get a massage?
A: We will both be wearing masks. It's important because we will be spending extended time together breathing in a small room. Masks will reduce the droplet exposure to increase your safety and mine, as well as the next client's
Q: Why do you not offer 90 minute massages now?
A: It is a precaution to limit possible exposure to Coronavirus from you, me, or the environment. Research has shown that prolonged exposure increases virus load. I want to allow my air purifier to keep up.
Q: Why are you not offering Hot Bamboo Fusion massage anymore?
A: I am not currently offering any massages with equipment that has a microscopically porous surface, which makes it harder to remove and kill Coronavirus. I am offering cupping instead. Cupping supplies can be immersed and scrubbed. I also offer a hot stone upgrade.
Q: I already filled out a health form last year. Why do I have to do it again?
A; I have included questions relating to Coronavirus that you need to answer before I can give you a massage.
Q: How do I know your room is safe for me?
A: I am limiting the number of massages I do each day, so I have time to thoroughly clean and sanitize the room between clients. I have installed an air purifier with HEPA filter to clean the air. However, there is no 100% guarantee that a virus can't slip by my vigilance. You need to be aware that there is always a risk and make an informed choice.
Q: Why can't I schedule online?
A: For now, I will be in charge of the schedule, so I can limit the number of massages and do proper health screenings prior to massages.
Q: Do you accept new clients?
A: Yes, if there is a medical need, such as pain management or stress management. Priority will be given to persons who are referred by a physician and to referrals from current clients.
Q: Do you still do prenatal massages?
A: I do not currently offer prenatal massages, since we don't currently know the impact of a possible exposure on the unborn child.
